The holiday of Purim, on the 15th of Adar II, falls out over Saturday night and Sunday, March 15th to 16th this year.
Ta'anit Ester, the fast which precedes Purim, is observed on the previous Thursday, March 13th.

Shacharit - 6:15 am
Minchah - 6:30 pm
Fast Ends - 7:40 pm
Megillah Readings
We will be reading the Megillah at 8:20 pm, after Shabbat and again, on Sunday morning, at 8:30 am (03/15-16/14). And Mincha on Purim day will be at 5:45 pm (Right before the se'udah). Ma'ariv will follow the meal at around 7:00-7:15.
Purim Seudah
We are happy to announce that we will again be hosting the Purim Seudah in our synagogue on Sunday, March 16th at 6:00 pm. The cost is $30 per person ($15 for children 12 & under), but no one will be turned away for inability to pay. If you would like to attend, you must call the shul office (718) 824 - 9000 to make reservations no later than Friday, March 7th. Space is limited, so reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis until full. We did sell out last year, so please make sure to reserve early.
Matanot LaEvyonim
It is our custom at this time of year to begin giving more charity, and one of the mitzvot of Purim day is to give gifts to the needy. If you want to contribute to this special cause please see Rabbi Zuckerman or David Edelstein, or call to ask for the best method.
